DESCRIPTION:Novecento — The Legend of Nineteen Hundred\nby Alessandro Baricco\n\nStep aboard a transatlantic ocean liner and enter the extraordinary world of Novecento, the legendary pianist who was born at sea and never once set foot on land.\n\nIn this captivating one-man theatrical tour de force, Simon Palomares brings to life the remarkable story of Danny Boodmann T.D. Lemon Novecento, a musical genius whose entire existence unfolds aboard the Virginian. Through the eyes of his lifelong friend and shipboard trumpeter, we encounter a man who can play music unlike anyone the world has ever heard—yet is haunted by the infinite possibilities that await beyond the ship.\n\nWith humour, tenderness, music, and moments of profound reflection, Novecento — The Legend of Nineteen Hundred explores friendship, identity, freedom, and the courage it takes to choose one’s own horizon.\n\nAs Novecento faces the impossible decision of leaving the only world he has ever known, the boundaries between myth and reality, music and memory, become beautifully blurred.\n\nDirected with intimacy and imagination by Caroline Stacey, and anchored by Simon Palomares’ compelling performance, this is a story about a man who lived an extraordinary life without ever stepping ashore—and a timeless meditation on what it truly means to find your place in an infinite world.\n\nMembers $30 Non-members $35\n\nDining is not available for this event.\n\nDamage : $75 per head - will set back your punting purse but worth every cent.\n\nDate: November 6, 2026\nTime: 7:00pm\nWhere: The Kelvin Club\n\nBOOK HERE
