Welcome to the Kelvin Club

Est. 1865

We are a private members club where old world meets new, nestled in the heart of Melbourne CBD. We offer a city sanctuary for our members, their guests and our many business, social and community partners. Membership is obtained by a referral from a current full member and requires another member to second the application. Applications are then reviewed by the Committee.

Major Fundraising Initiative.

The Kelvin Club is proud to be partnering with the City of Melbourne on their inaugural ‘Make Room’ initiative project to address homelessness in the Melbourne CBD.

The City of Melbourne’s vision is to build a greater supply of safe and supported spaces across inner Melbourne, with integrated support services, to help navigate the complex administrative maze of housing, welfare, & health systems. We know our Kelvin Club members see people sleeping on the streets & laneways and have asked us what we can do to help them. Make Room will make such an incredible difference to their lives in the immediate & long term.

The Kelvin Club President Debra Allanson & Melbourne Lord Mayor, Sally Capp, have joined forces to make a difference.

The Kelvin Club has committed to support raising $100k towards the cost of one of the studio apartments in the complex taking shape at 602 Little Bourke Street. Our aim is to build momentum towards this goal & to engage with our membership & our family and friends in raising funds. We will be holding a number of events to raise funds throughout the coming year but as we are nearing the end of the financial year if you wish to make a contribution please do so here.

The Kelvin Club Committee and staff would like to thank you again for your ongoing support of the Kelvin Club and our focus to bring our values and beliefs to our city community.
