The Dirty Dozen – Celebrating Iconic Melbourne Street Food

A night of snacks and drinks celebrating the street foods of Melbourne. Start with oysters and champagne in the lane, followed by an original Colonial-era mutton pie, 1940s-style dim sim, and mini souvlaki. Six snacks and bubbles are included in the entry, with drinks selected by Max Allen (at bar prices). The event continues upstairs with a conversation featuring James Hewison interviewing food writer Richard Cornish, who will share the background of the dark and sometimes uplifting social history of the street foods that shaped Melbourne, as explored in the highly successful The Dirty Dozen exhibition at the City Gallery at Melbourne Town Hall.
