International Women’s Day Lunch
Friday, Mar 8, 2024
12:00pm – 4:00pm
Join us at the Kelvin Club (in association with the Collins Club), for the 2024 International Women’s Day Lunch on Friday March 8th, to celebrate this year’s theme ofInspiring Inclusion.
Hosted by Vice President of the Kelvin Club, Fiona Patten in conversation with Georgie Purcell, Member of the Victorian Legislative Council (MLC) representing Northern Victoria since November 2022. Purcell is a member of the Animal Justice Party.
A qualified lawyer, Purcell holds a double degree in law and communications/politics, a digital campaigner at United Voice (now United Workers Union), a communications adviser at Industry Super Australia and as Chief of Staff to Andy Meddick prior to being elected to the Victorian Parliament.
Georgie has made headlines recently, not for the work she does but the way the media portrays women in power.
We will be treated to beautiful music from the inimitable Monique Di Mattina, and you will enjoy a delicious summer lunch with wines chosen by Miss Pearls and we will hold a raffle for special prizes to support the Kelvin Club’s
campaign to raise funds for the Make Room initiative.
