Shiraz is Australia’s most important red wine grape. We grow more of it, make more of it and drink more of it than any other red by far. It’s the grape used in everything from our most famous wines – Grange and Hill of Grace – to our cheapest, most cheerful everyday wines. Let’s celebrate shiraz by sharing delicious examples over a hearty winter lunch: bring along a bottle of your favourite shiraz to share – and remember, we’re not just talking about big heavy reds: think pale, dry shiraz rosé, spicy cool-climate shiraz, shiraz blends, classic Aussie sparkling shiraz – even shiraz port! The more diversity, the better.

The Kelvin’s wine expert, Max Allen will host the lunch and open a couple of very special shirazes on the day.

Cost for lunch is $55, plus corkage fee of $20 per bottle
